About SC-SIC
Who we are and what we do
|
The mission of the SC School Improvement Council is:
To promote and support civic engagement for quality public education in South Carolina through local school improvement councils.
SC-SIC receives its funding from the SC General Assembly and is the only statewide organization in the nation devoted solely to the assistance of local school improvement councils.
In partnership with the College of Education at the University of South Carolina Columbia campus, SC-SIC provides a wide range of workshops and training programs at the state, regional, district and school levels for council members and related school personnel.
A variety of support services are available at no cost to SICs, including a newsletter sent regularly to all members. The SC-SIC website is regularly updated to provide information and tools to school improvement councils, and printed materials and technical assistance are available directly from the SC-SIC offices via phone call or email.
The Twenty-Second Annual Report on the
SC Education Improvement Act of 1984
